Ocean Colour Scene - Steven Craddock

The Ocean Colour Scene story is the stuff of rock star dreams. A career spanning 21 years, nine studio albums including the 2010 release Saturday and with a brand new greatest hits, aptly named 21, out this week; its easy to thinkDust On The Breakers are a Denver-based collective featuring a raft of local talent culled from The Czars, The Fray, Crooked Fingers and Woven Hand. A concept album based around the mythical Lilith, it sees Cradle of Filths trademark heavy guitars laced with orchestration, and a couple of surprises along the way as well. I took this as an opportunity to sit down with their frontman, the very charismatic Dani Filth, to discuss the new album, the current lineup and the controversy that seems to follow Cradle around everywhere, as well as some other things. Post-punk Sunderland rockers The Futureheads shot to fame in 2005 when they revived the Kate Bush classic 'Hounds of Love' and two years on enjoyed similar success with their riff-roaring hit 'Beginning of The Twist'. Last April they released their fourth album, The Chaos and now operate under their own independent label, Nul Records. Their huge hit Hey Soul Sister has managed a four month stay in the UK charts, a rare feat when one considers that nowadays songs hardlyLondon based grungers Japanese Voyeurs all set to roll into the grubby mitts of rock stardom following the release of their new album, which is yet to be named, later in the year.
